When the weather is nice, there is nothing worse than leaving your furry friend at home while you go enjoy a meal, coffee, or drink at your favorite restaurant. If you're like me, you'll try your absolute best to find a way to bring your pup everywhere you go—restaurants included.

While there are a number of eateries that allow canines to hang out in their outdoor seating areas, there are only a select few that specifically (and literally) cater to your pup. If you're going to get a nice, specially-cooked meal just for you, why shouldn't your pup get the same treatment?

These restaurants have pawesome dog-specific menus so your canine can dine with you. That's barking amazing.

1. Posana Restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville, North Carolina has developed a reputation as being a "dog town." Because of that, popular restaurant Posana has developed a menu specifically catered to your four-legged friend! The restaurant has always allowed pooches to hang out on their patio, but now they will be served a farm-to-table menu of grilled chicken breast with grains, Brasstown Doggie Beefloaf, and bacon soy doggie ice cream treats.

2. Shake Shack (Multiple locations)

Our favorite N.Y.C. burger restaurant started out as a hot dog cart in the middle of Madison Square Park, meaning they've always had a TON of four-legged customers. Now the canines have their own specially developed menu at Shake Shack, including the famous Pooch-ini and Bag O' Bones.

3. Lazy Dog Cafe (Multiple locations)

Lazy Dog Restaurant is an awesome chain on the West Coast that is exactly as it sounds—a restaurant and bar that is entirely dog-themed. Dogs are invited to eat with the family at the restaurant's lovely patio seating. Every pup gets their very own bowl of water and can order from a special menu with options like grilled hamburger patty and brown rice.

4. Art and Soul in Washington, D.C.

Art & Soul is Chef Art Smith's restaurant in our nation's capital, with beautiful al fresco dining and Southern hospitality not just for their human patrons, but also for canines! Their pooch patio menu has something for every dog, with creatively-named dishes like The Hungry Dawg and Peanut-Banana Pupsicles.

5. Moss Beach Distillery in Moss Beach, California

Moss Beach Distillery is a romantic coastal restaurant in Moss Beach, California where you can sit outside and enjoy the most lovely ocean views. Not only are dogs allowed to enjoy the patio with you while sitting by a fire and watching the sunset, they also have a special menu with items like mini burger patties and "good dog skirt steak."

6. Tin Shed Garden Cafe in Portland, Oregon

Portland has always been known as a very dog-friendly city, so it comes to no surprise that you can actually bring Fido with you to lunch at this restaurant! Every Tuesday night at the Tin Shed Garden Cafe is Doggie Love Night and for every regularly priced "human" item you purchase, you can get one doggie item for free! That includes chicken mixed with rice or sweet potatoes, or a doggie dessert (that humans can also indulge in)!

7. Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden in Austin, Texas

Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden in Austin, Texas is famous for being extremely dog-friendly with Mega-Mutt Mondays every month featuring dog shelters and vendors and a special sausage on the menu just for your four-legged friend to enjoy. Bonus: They actually have an off-leash dog park inside their beer garden. Beyond cool.

8. The Nauti Dawg Marina Cafe in Lighthouse Point, Florida

The Nauti Dawg Marina Cafe's motto is, "Great people. Great dawgs. Great times." This waterfront cafe in the Sunshine State has an extensive list of options on their "Yappy Hour" menu, including Mahi, scrambled eggs, and chicken breast.

9. Chateau le Woof in Astoria, New York

While Chateau le Woof is more of a cafe and pet market than an actual restaurant, we had to feature this local and amazing hotspot. It's pretty much a one-stop shop for all your caffeine and pet needs, with half of the shop being a coffee bar and the other half being a market with awesome pet food and goodies. While owner Natassa Contini prepares a to-die-for cappuccino, she chats away about the best dog food for your pup. All the while, Fido can enjoy a snack. Everyone wins!
